We’ve been getting a bunch of calls lately about how to use dry ice and how much to buy.
Around Metro Detroit, winter brings snow and cold. Sometimes we like to associate this time of year with sledding, snowball fights, and picturesque views.
But in reality we get snow on transformers, snow drifts across the road and ice on power lines. Eventually these things will cause neighborhood’s to lose electricity. When that happens, we’re ready to help with dry ice and advice on how to use it.
Here are some good rules to follow. 10-15 pounds of dry ice usually lasts about 3 days. Bring a medium sized cooler when picking up the dry ice. Securely wrap your goods with plastic wrap before placing them in the cooler. And don’t put dry ice in the freezer, leave it in the cooler and put the food in with the dry ice.
Remember, you call always go to our contact page and call or email with questions and we’ll be happy to help.
Really liked what you had to say in your post, How to use Dry Ice | U.S. Ice Corp, thanks for the good read!
